Privacy Policy

Non-subscribers:
We do not collect any personally identifying information from persons who visit our site without logging in or using one of our pay-per-use services.

Subscribers:
We collect information from our subscribers during the subscription process and, occasionally, at other times. Subscribers sign up on-line. We collect information about the subscriber through registration forms completed at the time of subscription. This information is then stored in a secured environment under password protection. Consult the registration form we ask you to fill out on-line in order to see what kinds information are collected in connection with your subscription. On occasion, Cuba Telecom may also collect additional information from subscribers in connection with opinion surveys. Cuba Telecom reserves the right to review and change subscriber data only for accuracy once entered.

Cookie technology:
We employ cookie technology to recognize you and your access privileges on our site, to help subscribers move faster through the site, and to track site usage. When a subscriber logs on to our site and uses key features of the site, we post cookies to that user's computer. A cookie is a string of information that is sent by a web site and stored on your hard drive or temporarily in your computer's memory. This avoids the potentially time-consuming task of checking our registration database each time a page is requested. We also employ cookie technology to store subscribers' user names and passwords. Subscribers who do not accept cookies from the domain "cubatravelclub.net" cannot access certain areas of Cuba Telecom.

Cuba Telecom uses pixels, or transparent GIF files, to help manage online advertising. These GIF files are provided by some ad management partners. These files enable us to recognize a unique cookie on your Web browser, which in turn enables us to learn which advertisements bring users to our website. The cookie was placed by us, or by another advertiser who works with our partnets. With both cookies and other technology, the information that we collect and share is anonymous and not personally identifiable. It does not contain your name, address, telephone number, or email address. Credit card payments:
By subscribing to one of our services, you agree that Cuba Telecom may store information you provide as part of our processing. We use a digital certificate for encryption which was generated by Verisign to protect the credit card data you provide as it travels over the Internet. We also use othe secure technologies for credit card payment verification to ensure that credit card numbers are valid.

Is Information Shared?:
Cuba Telecom does not disclose to third parties information about our users that is personal and non-public without first giving customers the opportunity to opt-out of such disclosures.

In this regard, it may be necessary for us to disclose your personal information to one or more agents or contractors, but such persons are required to agree to use the information obtained from us only for these purposes and to protect your privacy.

Cuba Telecom periodically sends e-mails to its subscribers about new site features and services offered.
