Beaches of Cuba

Beaches of Cuba Cuba has several beaches around the main island and the keys of the country. The most important beach of Cuba is Varadero, Matanzas, where Government of Cuba and new join ventures have build many hotels, some of them with a very high level in comfort and technology.

In Havana City, beaches are located 20 km to the east coast. Beaches there are Santa Maria del Mar, Bacuranao, Tarara, Guanabo, Jibacoa, all of them know as Playas del Este or Eastern Beaches. Other beaches of Cuba are Ancon, Sancti Spiritus; Marea del Portillo, Granma; Santa Lucía, Camaguey; Guardalavaca, Holguin; Baconao, Santiago de Cuba

A new wave of constructions are becoming the abandoned keys in travel destinations, because the Program of Tourism of Cuba is building new hotels, resorts and marinas in Cayo Largo, Isle of Youth; Cayo Coyo, Ciego de Avila, Cayo Guillermo, Ciego de Avila; Cayo Levisa, Pinar del Rio and new ones to the north of Villa Clara, the central province of Cuba.
